Requirements _{Step 1 of 6}

Thank you for purchasing Pet Game Framework (PGF). You're just minutes away from being able to setup and configure your very own game. Awesome!!! This installer will step you through some basic configuration options to get you up and running. If PGF is already installed this will erase your existing game data and any custom modifications you may have made so please export any data and/or files you wish to keep before proceeding.

PHP version 5.5 or higher (currently 7.0.33-0ubuntu0.16.04.16)
- GD Library - not required but dynamic images won't work without it
These permissions must be set to 0777:
- .htaccess file (currently 0777)
- cache folder (currently 0777)
- db/connect.php file (currently 0755)
- images/pets folder (currently 0755)
- images/items folder (currently 0777)

Error! System requirements were not met. Pet Game Framework cannot be installed.

Languages _{Step 2 of 6}

This can be changed at any time. Please consult the Programming Guide for instructions on how to add more supported languages. Default Language:

This is the language your players will see when they initially visit your game.

Supported Languages:

Ctrl + click to select more than one supported language. Any languages you select here will be made available for your players to choose from when they play your game.

Critical Features _{Step 3 of 6}

We strongly recommend you do not change these features once installation is completed.
These settings can be changed later but doing so may cause your game to act unpredictably. Genetics:

Pet colors and markings during breeding are determined by punnet squares. Setting up genetics is a complicated and involved task. PGF has included funtionality to try and make this process as fast as possible, however it will require a substantial amount of data entry on your part.

Dynamic Images:

Images can be layered and colored in by the game based off given hexcode values. If this is enabled all images must be in PNG format with gradients of black (#000000) anywhere you want colors to be dynamically applied. For examples of how this works and examples of the image formats please reference PGF manual.

Babies:

How babies are handled on the game. Litters will group newborn babies into a collection that stays with the mother for a time after birth, invidivuals will be added directly to the player's account.

Number Per Row:

How many columns to show before going to the next row.

Pets

Store Pet Cost:

How much it costs to buy a pet from the store.

Age Days:

How many days pass before the pet's ages increases by one year.

Pet Retire Age:

How many days old the pet must be before it can be retired.

Pet Mortality:

If this is disabled pets won't die if they're not cared for.

Minimum Babies:

Minimum number of babies the female pet will have if it gets pregnant.

Maximum Babies:

Maximum number of babies the female pet will have it if gets pregnant.

Minimum Breeding Age:

How many days old the pet must be before it can breed.

Maximum Breeding Age:

Pets this many days old can no longer breed.

Pregnancy Duration:

How many days a female pet is pregnant before giving birth.

Release Age:

How long the babies must stay with the female after they are born before before they can be removed.

Keep Baby Limit:

Maximum number of babies the player can keep if the female pet has multiples.

Female Next Breeding:

How many days a female pet must wait until they can attempt to breed again.

Male Next Breeding:

How many days a male pet must wait until they can attempt to breed again.

Keep Breeding Request History:

When pruning breeding requests, don't delete records less than this many days old.

Keep Sales Request History:

When pruning sales requests, don't delete records less than this many days old.

Minimum Showing Age:

How many days old a pet must be before they can show.

Maximum Showing Age:

Pet this many days old can no longer show.

Pet Shelter:

If this is disabled players won't be able to abandon their pets at the shelter.

Training:

If this is disabled players won't be able to train their pets to increase their abilities.

Training Cost:
How much it money it costs to train a pet.
Minimum Point Increase:
Minimum number of points pet will get from being trained.
Maximum Point Increase:
Maximum number of points pet will get from being trained.

Players

Minimum Password Length:

How short a player's password can be.

Online Duration:

How many minutes player can be inactive in the game before they're considered offline.

Alpha Accounts:

If this is disabled players won't be able to create an alpha account when the game is closed.

Multiple Accounts:

If this is disabled the game won't try to prevent players from creating multiple accounts.

Referrals:

If this is disabled the game won't award players who have referred other players to join.

Money Per Referral:
How much money the referring player gets when a referred player joins.
Credits Per Referral:
How many credits the referring player gets when a referred player joins.

Starting Money:

How much money the player gets when they join the game.

Upgrades:

If this is disabled players won't be able to upgrade their account.

Mail:

If this is disabled players won't be able to send or recieve game messages.

Non-Upgraded Limit:
How many messages non-upgraded players can have in their inbox.
Upgraded Limit:
How many messages upgraded players can have in their inbox.
Inbox Almost Full Warning: %
What percentage of space must be used in the inbox before a "Your Inbox Is Almost Full" warning message will appear.

Journals:

If this is disabled the upgraded players won't have a journal.

Friends List:

If this is disabled players won't have a friends list.

Blocked List:

If this is disabled players won't be able to block other players.

Bank:

If this is disabled players won't be able to collect a salary or interest.

Allowance Days:
How many days the player must wait before they can collect their allowance again.
Non-Upgraded Allowance:
How much allowance money a non-upgraded player can collect from the bank.
Upgraded Allowance:
How much allowance money an upgraded player can collect from the bank.
Interest Days:
How many days the player must wait before they can collect their interest again.

Chat Room:

Shows

Entry Fee:

How much it costs to enter a pet in a show.

Special Entry Fee:

How much it costs to enter a pet in a special show.

Minimum Show Entries:

How many entries are required for a show to run.

Maximum Show Entries:

Maximum number of entries per show.

Event Bonus:

Extra points given to pets entering a show event they've been trained for.

Generate Shows:

If this is disabled the game won't automatically create shows every night.

Shows Per Level:
How many shows to generate for each show level.

Generate Special Shows:

If this is disabled the game won't automatically create special shows every month.

Keep History:

When pruning show history, don't delete records less than this many days old.

Non-Upgraded Show Entries:

Maximum number of shows non-upgraded players can enter this pet in a day.

If this is disabled clubs cannot create shows.

How many shows the club can create per day.

Lowest entry fee a club president can set on a club show.

Admin _{Step 5 of 6}

This account will have full access to add/edit/delete and configure the game and admin panel. Username:

Password: Player Name:

This is the name that will be displayed on your account in the game.

Help Email:

This is the email address that your login information will be sent to if you forget it or use the lost password link.

Database Configuration _{Step 6 of 6}

Setup access to your database and finish installation. Database Host:

Generally this will be set to localhost which is a reference to the host you're installing PGF on. If your database is on a different host then this will be the url or IP address of that server.

Database Name:

This is the name of the database you want to install PGF on. This database must already exist and the username and password you've provide below must have insert, update and delete permissions.

Username:

Username for the database. This must have permissions to create a new database if the database name above does not already exist.
